March Adams offers a full range of civil engineering services that include many aspects of site development. Our design services include the preparation and permitting of site infrastructure documents that include site layout, grading, storm drainage, storm water management and treatment, sediment and erosion control, site utilities, sanitary and water distribution system extensions. Working with other disciplines and regulatory agencies in the earliest design stages and maintaining open channels of communication results in the best site infrastructure design solutions that go unnoticed.
March Adams has more than 100 years of combined experience in all areas of construction materials, to include concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and pre-cast. The firm provides these services for commercial, institutional and industrial facilities using advanced engineering design tools such as ENERCALC and RISA 3d and Revit.
In addition to providing design services for new construction, the company also analyzes existing facilities that require re-engineering or modernization. March Adams has an industrial structural department that provides services for existing industrial plants requiring process upgrades and rehabilitation work, as well as building and structural modifications for new equipment supports, mezzanines, and repurposing existing structures.
The March Adams mechanical team has expertise in many facets of HVAC design, construction and analysis, solving complex problems in laboratory environmental control, cooling and heat recovery, and indoor air quality. In addition to designing energy efficient systems, we provide energy analysis for current systems and offer design solutions that help our clients meet their energy requirements in the 21st century. Our mechanical team also provides industrial services including cooling towers, chillers and pumps. Our design strengths extend from the thermal sciences to equipment design capabilities in the manufacturing industry.
March Adams provides electrical engineering services for commercial, industrial and power-generating facilities. Our staff is committed to implementing proven energy-efficient designs that reduce operating costs and conserve our nation’s natural resources. Our electrical team provides EPA’s Green Lights Program or other criteria requested by clients. March Adams’ industrial experience encompasses a great deal of diversity in the design of emergency generator power systems, electronic drive applications, PLC systems, process controls and power distribution sub-stations. The final design documents for these systems reflect our practical background in constructability, operation, and maintenance to minimize cost and maximize reliability.
March Adams provides fire protection engineering services for our clients. These services include risk assessment, hydraulic design, specifications and detailed pipe drawings. Our staff is proficient in the interpretation of NFPA codes and their applications to ensure compliance with codes and insurance underwriters requirements.
Equipment Design Development
We specialize in custom machine/equipment design, development, and fabrication to meet the industry’s needs where standard equipment does not meet the specifications. The custom machinery may be high speed and fully automated for high volume production lines or manually operated, low production units for new product evaluation or prototyping. We have designed and developed equipment for various industries such as food, fibers, paper and foam, automotive, steel fabricators, material recycling and/or product sampling for quality control.
Our process design experiences extend from chemical industries to food process and handling, piping and pumping systems to plant layout, material flow, and process safety. In addition, we specialize in abatement and scrubber systems to meet all codes and standards. Our process experiences also include pneumatic product conveying, steam heating systems, chill water cooling systems and process filtering systems.
Piping System Design
We have experience in many types of piping systems conveying both gases and liquids. Our staff is knowledgeable in the application of local, state and federal codes regarding the design of plumbing/piping systems supporting institutional and commercial facilities.
