UTC Lupton Fine Arts

Chattanooga, TN

The Lupton Fine Arts building was a renovation of an existing six-story building at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A new 75 hp, 1,000 gpm rated fire pump was installed in a newly built pump room for supplying a combination standpipe/sprinkler riser and three additional standpipes with hose connections up to an elevation of 75 ft. This project was designed as an NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72, and 101 compliant system. The fire protection group coordinated very closely with other engineering disciplines to produce a high-quality finished product.
