Liberty Tower Renovation

Chattanooga, TN

March Adams provided the engineering design for the renovation of this 17-story, 192,000 square foot office complex.    Services included the replacement of two, 250-ton commercial helical screw chillers with all associated pumps and a new cooling tower. The chillers support the 17-story building with multiple tenants, with each floor having a dedicated VAV air handling system.  A shared dedicated outside air and heat recovery system provides fresh air to each floor, according to its specific need. The project included re-piping of the mechanical room to support new chilled water and condenser water pumps as well as the two new chillers. Structural engineering was required for the parapet facelift, rooftop flagpoles and solar cells.

Chattanooga Whiskey

Chattanooga, TN

The owners of Chattanooga Whiskey had a vision for the former Newton Chevrolet Building to transform it into a distillery.  The facility is a 40,000 square foot building that sits on Chattanooga’s scenic Riverfront Parkway.  March Adams provided engineering design services for this project that included an exterior facelift with new egress stairs, new distillery room addition, and a large amount of piping and new equipment.  Repurposing this long-vacant building turned out to be a perfect fit for the distillery with a storage area for aging barrels as well as an event hall.
